Landell, a longtime resident of South Fallsburg, NY entered into eternal rest on Friday, February 19, 2021 at Achieve Rehab and Nursing Facilities in Liberty, NY. He was 86 years. He’s the son of the late, Helen Armstrong and Frank Fields. Landell was born on February 6, 1935 in Uniontown, Alabama. He graduated from the Perry County Highschool where he met his childhood sweetheart, who later became his beloved wife, Dorothy Hudson. Even young, the two planned and dream about getting married. This dream was realized on June 11, 1956. They were married for 65 years. Shortly after they wedded, they relocated from Alabama to South Fallsburg, New York.

Landell worked several jobs in and around the Catskill Mountains. He chose a career path within the painting business and joined Local 155 Painter’s Union. Through hard work and perseverance, this opportunity lead him to the fabulous Concord hotel, located in Kiamesha NY, where he worked over 40+ years as a painter and crew supervisor. Landell joined First Baptist Church on August 22nd 1976 under the pastorship of Reverend L.R. Jenkins. He severed faithfully until he was physically unable to attend.

Landell was predeceased by his sister Janie Preston, his ½ brother Willie (Sugarboy) Chandler, adopted brother, Tommy (Rooster) Hudson.

Landell leaves to cherish his memories, wife Dorothy Cornelia Fields at home, one brother in-law Sidney Hudson of East Chicago, Indiana and adopted sister in-law Lennice Hudson of Alabama. A host of nieces, nephews, relatives and dear friends. A caring and supportive friend, Eddie Clancy Jr.
