Lamar Eugene Jeffery, age 53, of Eton, Georgia passed away peacefully on Friday, April 4, 2014 at Hamilton Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 24, 1960. Lamar was preceded in death by his father, Lee McCoy Jeffery; and his mother, Mary Katherine Causby Jeffery.
He is survived by his companion, Joy Jones; 2 daughters, Shalaina Worley and her boyfriend Charlie Robinson of Chatsworth, Brandi Jeffery and her boyfriend Stacy Bell of Chatsworth; 2 daughters by his companion, Amber Davis, and April Jones; 2 sons, Christopher Jeffery and daughter in law Shanee Jeffery of Dalton, David Jeffery and his fiancé Mindy Temple of Dalton; the mother of his children, Karen Wallace Jeffery; Lamar has 2 sisters both from Chatsworth, Kathy Beavers and Patricia Baggett, brother in law, Mike Baggett and a brother Billy (BJ) Jeffery and his fiancé Mary Andrews of Jasper, GA; 10 grandchildren, aunts and uncles, he had several nieces and nephews and several cousins.
Lamar enjoyed playing the guitar, watching wrestling and playing with his grandkids. He spent many years of employment with Dalton Taxi, Whitfield Transportation Bus and for Laid Law school bus.
