LaDora L. Thierry, 82, of 275 E. Carl Sandburg Dr., Galesburg, formerly of 146 W. Ferris St., died at 6:15 p.m on Sunday, December 21, 2008 at Marigold Health Care Center.
LaDora was born in Galesburg on September 20, 1926, the daughter of Felix and Ella M. Sewell Thierry. LaDora is survived by several cousins.
LaDora worked for the U.S. Government at the Rock Island Arsenal as a quality assurance specialist/manager for 40 years, retiring in April 1993. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed creating pottery and traveling.
