PERRY -Edna LaDean Hills Rhoads passed away on June 10, 2016, due to complications from surgery.
LaDean was born on May 6, 1939 in Provo, Utah, the daughter of Everett and Edna Bernice Green Hills. She married Elmer G. (Rocky) Rhoads on May 16, 1957 in The Salt Lake City Temple.
LaDean graduated from South High School and spent many years raising her family in Cokeville, WY, later relocating to Perry. She was a faithful member of the LDS Church and served in the Relief Society, Young Women’s, and many other callings.
LaDean was employed by First Security Bank and Thiokol. She was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening, making quilts, and baking for others.
Traveling and touring with their motorcycle club, Rocky and LaDean made many lifelong friends. Most of all, she loved her family, together they spent time camping, traveling, and boating. She created many memories with her grandkids; taking them on many exciting adventures.
Surviving are her husband, Rocky, children: Tybe (Richard) Lehn, Roy; Cory Story, South Weber; Kirt Rhoads, Midvale; and Mardi (Lex) Obray, Perry; 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Viewing will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Perry 7th Ward, 2415 S. Park Dr., Perry, UT.
