Mrs. L.V. Jackson, 82, of Lubbock, passed away Saturday, Oct. 9, 2010. She was born Nov. 27, 1927 in Lucy, Tenn. She moved to Memphis, Tenn., where she met and married Leon T. Jackson, Sr. who preceded her in death on Dec. 20, 1982. She moved to Lubbock, Texas, six months ago, where she lived with her oldest daughter, Dorothy, until her death.
She is preceded in death by her parents; one aunt, Mrs. Savannah; one grandson, Roderick Jackson; and one sister, Marcelle Currie.
She leaves to cherish her memory: Dorothy Jackson and James Driver of Lubbock, Texas, DeLois Anderson, Savan and Tommy English all of Cartersville, Ga., Leslie and Craig Breland of Wiggins, Miss., Debra and Vance Riley of Okinawa, Japan, Wanda and Andre Moore of Belleville, Ill., Leon Jr. and Lisa Jackson, Ro- land and Rebecca Jackson all of Cartersville, Ga.; 20 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; a special friend, Ms. Rose L. McCoy; and a host of other relatives and friends.
