Kyle James Faust, age 26 of Lanark, IL, died by suicide Wednesday, August 9, 2017 after he lost his battle with depression. He was born August 4, 1991; the son of Randy and Sandy Faust and the late Lori (Bleile) Faust. He graduated from Eastland High School with the class of 2010 and was attending Highland Community College, studying to become a physical therapist.
Kyle was a Combat Veteran who served in the United States Army, 10th Mountain Division Artillery and had served in Afghanistan. He loved nature, hiking with friends and cousins, and photography. He was also an avid reader and especially enjoyed philosophy. Kyle was known for his generosity, smile, and contagious laughter.
He is survived by his parents, Randy and Sandy Faust of Pearl City, IL; siblings, Melissa (Michael) Medler of Shannon, IL, Joseph (Linh) Theriault of Oceanside, CA, and Venessa (Kale) Wahler of Mountlake Terrace, WA; nieces, Kensley Bashaw, Ellie Theriault, and Adelaide Wahler; grandmothers, Mary Bleile, Bernita Kramer Faust, and Twila Simler; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lori Faust; and grandfathers, Stanley Simler, Ronald Faust, and Elmer Bleile.
