Kristy J. Velie Martin, 52, of Anderson, passed away on August 10, 2012 at St. John’s Health System Anderson. She was born on July 14, 1960 in Anderson and resided most of her life in Anderson. Kristy graduated from Madison Heights High School in 1978.
She was a homemaker. Kristy was a person that was very giving, and always had a positive outlook on life. She had always dreamed of traveling, and spending time with her friends, and family. She attended The Bridge Church, and enjoyed collecting costume jewelry.
Kristy is survived by her mother, Mary Velie of Chesterfield, sisters, Kandy Fred Wainscott of Anderson, Kathy Scott DeVoe of Muncie, and Kobey Lyons of Plattsmouth, Nebraska, companion, John Minnich of Anderson, several nieces and nephews, and her cat, Pumpkin.
She was preceded in death by her father, Norman Velie.
