Kristina Bufano, 58, of Middletown, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, April 30, 2021. She was born Kristina Merz on February 10, 1963 in Brooklyn, New York, and grew up in Staten Island, New York. Kristina met her beloved husband, Domenick, at a wedding they were both attending in Brooklyn, New York and shortly after they began dating. On June 18, 1995, Kristina and Domenick were married and began their life together in Staten Island. In 2003, they settled in Middletown, New Jersey, where they remained to raise their family. For many years, Kristina worked for Prudential in Newark as the Manager of their Law Department Help Desk. Most of all, Kristina was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister-in-law, aunt, and friend to many. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
She was predeceased by her mother, Mary (Thompson) Nieratko, and her father-in-law, Vincent J. Bufano. Kristina is survived by her beloved and devoted husband of 25 years, Domenick D. Bufano, her loving children, Vincent Bufano, Domenick Bufano Jr., and Victoria Bufano, all of Middletown, New Jersey, her father, Carl Merz and his wife, Elizabeth, her treasured mother-in-law, Yvonne Bufano, her dear brother-in-law, Vincent Bufano and his wife, Amy, and her cherished nephew and niece, Devin and Harley Bufano.
