Kristin D. Robinson, 34, of Harrisburg, NC, passed away peacefully Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Carolina’s Medical Center Main surrounded by her family.
Kristin was born April 28, 1984 in Washington, DC. to Brenda & Rick Robinson. She was preceded in death by her nephew Charlie Painter, maternal grandfather John Murphy and her paternal grandfather John Robinson.
Kristin was a fighter from the day she was born at only 2 pounds. She endured many medical challenges in her lifetime but met each one with a determination and will to be happy and enjoy life. Despite her disabilities, she worked hard to keep up with her athletic family. Over the years she participated in Cerebral Palsy Olympics, Special Olympics, therapeutic horseback riding, Challenger Baseball, swimming and working out at Race to Walk.
Kristin could light up a room with her smile and stories about her favorite team, The Washington Capitals or her favorite band, Maroon 5. She inspired many people and touched many lives and will be missed by many.
She is survived by her sister Kelly Painter, husband Mike and their children Jack, Molly and Lena of Harrisburg, NC; her brother Peter Robinson, wife Christine and their son Camden, of Clarksburg, MD and twin sister Lindsay Roselle, husband Ernie and their daughters Addison and Aubrey of Charlotte, NC; grandmothers Pat Murphy of Charlotte, NC and Shirley Robinson of Windsor, Ontario; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, caretakers and friends.
