Kirk Douglas Ainsworth (64) passed away on September 9, 2021 in West Melbourne, Florida. Survived by his son, Matt Ainsworth (his wife Jamie and their two children Lily and Connor), and his daughter, Kristina Dennis (her wife KayDee Dennis); his brother Johnny Wayne Ainsworth (his wife Donna) and his sister, Carol Harbinson; and his former wife of 25 years, Pam Moffett, as well as several aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his mother and father- Emogene (Brown) and Aubrey “Johnny” Ainsworth- and a younger brother, Perry Lee Ainsworth.
Kirk was born October 11, 1956 in Oakland, Oregon. Growing up in a Navy family, Kirk lived in several states during his youth including California and Hawaii. At age 17 Kirk also enlisted in the Navy and spent the next twelve years travelling the world as an ET- eventually achieving the rank of Petty Officer First Class before his Honorable Discharge in 1986.
Kirk was known by all as a hard-working, honorable man, quick with a smile and a memorable laugh, always ready with a bit of wisdom, and always dreaming of great things.
