Kimberly J. (Burke) Hoover, age 52, beloved wife of Michael Hoover, of Southport, CT, passed on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 after a heroic and inspirational battle with breast cancer. Born in Denville, NJ to Shaun T. and Loretta R. (Monchun) Burke, Kim grew up in Ridgewood, NJ. She attended Ridge School and Ridgewood High School before moving to Lancaster County, PA, where she would finish high school in Manheim Township. Kim would go on to obtain her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. Kim’s passion for teaching led her back to Ridge School in Ridgewood, this time as a teacher rather than a pupil. Upon beginning her own family, her career shifted to full-time “Momma Bear” to raise her adored sons, Charlie and Tommy.
