Kevin Goodwin, 60, of Spirit Lake passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2019, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD.
He graduated from Nathan Hale High School in Seattle, WA. He was married to Roberta Nielson in 1981 in Seattle, WA. To this union their daughter Jessica was born. Kevin was later married to Barbara Nielson on March 2, 1997, in Las Vegas, NV. To this union their son Nicholas was born.
Barbara preceded Kevin in death on December 15, 2006, in Sioux Falls, SD. Kevin was currently working as a chef at Pub 19 at Okoboji View Golf Course. He was a member of the Okoboji View Golf Course where he enjoyed many rounds of golf with his family and friends. Kevin had a passion for cooking for others and he enjoyed sharing his gift at Pub 19. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his family. He is survived by his daughter Jessica (Paul) Gasbar of Coshocton, OH; son Nicholas White of Spirit Lake; grandson Lucas Goodwin of Spirit Lake; parents Edwin and Tynoccia Goodwin of Arlington, WA; brothers Bob (Birdie) Goodwin of Bothell, WA; Edwin “Kip” (Ann) Goodwin of Mukilteo, WA; and Mike Goodwin of Bothell, WA.
He was preceded in death by his wife Roberta and his brother Gary Goodwin. Kevin’s greatest accomplishment was always his children and grandchildren. He was always there for them with love and support.
