Kevin Connell Foster, 74, of Sherman, CT died on Monday, January 20, 2014.
Kevin was born to the late Edwin and Loretta Foster of Glenbrook, CT. After serving as a radar man on the USS Des Moines from 1958 to 1962, he attended The University of Missouri School of Mines at Rolla and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Geophysics. He began his professional career as a geophysicist for Gulf Research and Development. Kevin also worked for BP and Amerada Hess exploring for new oil and gas reserves. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to co-found a successful petroleum exploration company to becoming the C.E.O. of a mid-sized petroleum and refining corporation headquartered in Manhattan. Kevin was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. He will be deeply missed by all those who knew him.
Kevin is survived by his wife, Anne, their beloved dog Elsie and his three children, their spouses, and six grandchildren: Karen and Barry French, their children, Charlie, William, and Hope; Geoff Foster; Kevin and Laura Foster, their children, Sebastian, Jake and Valentina. He is also survived by two older brothers and their wives, Rick and Jackie Foster; Ed and Doris Foster and several nieces and nephews..
