Kent J. Lane of Remington, IN, passed away on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at St. Franciscan in Lafayette, IN. He was born on May 30, 1944 in Hammond, IN to Charles and Vada Lane. He was raised in Remington all of his life. He graduated school in Remington in 1962. He married Lynette (Thomas) Lane on January 9, 1966 at the Remington Bible Church. Kent and Lynette had four children. Brian Lane of Remington, Lori (Tim) Reynolds of Van Lear, Kentucky, Mindy (Ray) Bower of Remington, and Britni (Scott) Doege of Remington. Kent attended business college in Chicago, Illinois and completed the course. Kent was an Insurance Salesman for over 30 years. He also played music on the weekends. After he retired from selling insurance, he went on to continue playing music. Kent played the guitar, the keyboard, and also did some singing. Kent’s passion in life was his family and his music. He played music in almost every nursing home and assisted living facility in Indiana and some in Illinois as well. Surviving is his wife, Lynette, his children, Brian, Lori, Mindy, and Britni along with 22 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Kent is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Vada Lane.
