January 1, 1967 – March 10, 2012

Kent David Woodall passed away on March 10, 2012, after a long, brave battle with cancer. Born on January 1, 1967, in Bitburg, Germany, he grew up in Omaha, Nebraska, where he joined the army and was the first USAREUR medic deployed in the Gulf War. In Iraq, he was awarded the Bronze Star for acts of lifesaving heroism. Upon being assigned to the Special Forces Medic School at Fort Sam Houston, he met and married Kathy Stone, and they were married eighteen years. Kent graduated from the University of Nebraska in 2003 with a B.S. as a Physician Assistant. In San Antonio, he worked for the Neurosurgery Department at University Hospital. Kent also loved playing guitar, writing music, and spending time with loved ones and friends in his beautiful home in the hills of Boerne. Charismatic, vivacious, optimistic and a warrior to the end, Kent is survived by his loving wife Kathy and their rescue basset hounds Quincy, Penney, and Woodrow in Boerne; by parents William & Katherine Woodall, his sister and brother in Omaha; and by parents-in-law Bob and Connie Stone and Kathy”s siblings, their families, and numerous extended family members and friends in San Antonio, Omaha, and throughout the U.S. Kent, words cannot express how proud of you we are, how much we love you, and how dearly we will miss you.
