Kenneth W. Langworthy, 75, of Mansfield, CT died unexpectedly on Thursday, February 16, 2017. He was the son of Walter Bolles Langworthy and Lillies Anna Hawkes.
Ken loved life and everything it had to offer. He loved watching Nascar races on Sundays, and could also be found in one of his favorite places, his garage where he made his amazing wood creations. Ken was also a very talented auto body restoration man. He was a very generous man that would do anything for anybody, always helping people out when he could; he was known by the kids in the neighborhood as “Uncle Ken” and always enjoyed talking with neighbors. Many friends and family knew him to be the guy that was always there to listen. His personality and advice touched so many people and his presence will be missed by so many.
He will be greatly missed by his daughter Logen Langworthy of Willimantic, Logen’s brother Daniel Dion of Coventry whom Ken loved as his own, his son Paul Kenneth Langworthy of Marathon, FL, his son Kenneth Paul Langworthy of Key Largo, FL, as well as grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ken is also survived by his brother Robert Langworthy and his wife Marie of Columbia, nephews, David Langworthy and his wife Catherine of Manchester, and Jason Langworthy of Lebanon. He also leaves Aunt Margaret Easton of Mansfield. He was predeceased by his brother Richard Langworthy of FL. He will also be greatly missed by his life companion, Priscilla Squier of NH, and lifelong friend Rebecca Belling of Coventry.
Why is there a smile on
your face and so much sadness in your eyes
Is it because of the love
you lost or the love you seek
Think not of what is gone but
what could be, and the smile in your eyes
will come back
