Kenneth W. Yansick went home to be with his Lord on November 7, 2008 at the age of 88. While he was blessed with long life on this earth, he had also known great sadness with the loss of his first child Renee, in 1953, when his little angel was just 6 years old. They are happy and reunited today. He proudly served in the US Navy as a Chief Petty Officer on the USS Eaton during World War II. A family man at heart, he provided his remaining children, Ken, MarySusan, LouAnn and Jim with all the blessings he could.
These included a strong foundation in faith, generosity of spirit, and loving hearts. The numerous family vacations, fishing trips, steel pier days, and sledding at Valley Forge provided the basis for future grandchildren MaryLou, Joshua, Bill, Dan and Rachel to enjoy the traditions he started. He will be sadly missed by the many friends, close companions and family, including many nieces and nephews he has left behind. Yet, we rejoice, today, for we know that he rests in the arms of the loving, merciful Lord Jesus Christ, surrounded by family, including his wife of 54 years, Irene, and his siblings. He was a man of great faith, and as his favorite song says, “Faith is the path to heaven and prayer unlocks the door.” He has entered through those doors, now may he rest in peace and everlasting joy surrounded by his loved ones forever. Amen!
