Kenneth VanLeeuwen

Kenneth VanLeeuwen, 83, passed away at home on July 9, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 4, 1933 in Ogden, Utah to Marie (Timmers) and George VanLeeuwen. He attended Pingree Elementary and Washington High. He was a member of the LDS Church.

He married JoAnn King on June 4, 1954; they were married 42 years and had 5 children before her passing in 1996. He then married Germaine Davis Opheikens May 18, 2001

Kenneth belonged to the Utah Sheriffs Association and was a member of the Eagle’s. He was Chief Operator at Central Weber Sewer District for more than 30 years before his retirement. He enjoyed traveling the country in his RV, camping, fishing and hunting. He was a lifelong Democrat.

Kenneth is survived by his wife Germaine; children, Michael (Cathy)., Cindy Neumann, Connie (Bob) Krisman, Cathy Mather and Christine Fields; 19 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and his sister, Evelyn Hoagland-Geilmann.

Preceded in death by his first wife, JoAnn; brothers, Peter, George, Claude “Dutch”, sister Hermina “Micky”; parents, George and Marie and grandson Max.
