Mr. Kenneth ‘Toots’ McCann, Age 79, passed away with his family by his side March 17th, 2018 at the Vanceburg Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
Kenneth was born in Lewis County, Kentucky January 15, 1939 to the late Grover and Gladys Pollitt McCann. He worked for the Moore & White Lumber Company for 25 plus years from which he retired. He like taking long walks and enjoyed hunting ginseng and mushrooms. Also, liked doing odd jobs whatever it may have been. Kenneth was of the Christian faith. Kenneth was a big collector of coins and miniature cars.
Preceded in death beside his parents was his wife Florence Carolyn Jones McCann in 2007. A daughter- Terra Kimbler, two brothers- Harry Jack McCann and Bob McCann.
Surviving Kenneth are two daughters- Regina (Kenneth) Hobbs; Lisa (Tony) Moore; both of Vanceburg, Ky.
Three sons- Kenny (Kathy) McCann; and Steve McCann both of Vanceburg, Ky.
Kevin McCann of Greenup, Ky.
Six brothers- Estill Gay (Bonnie) McCann; Tom (Janice) McCann; and Ed (Cora) McCann all of Vanceburg, Ky.; Wendell (Arlene) McCann of Tollesboro, Ky.; Phil (Karen) McCann of Marion, Ohio; and Howard (Barbara) McCann of Dayton, Ohio.
Sisters- Kathy (Bill) Williams of Olive Hill, Ky.; Lula Mae (Mitchell) Ash and Vickie (Dennie) Beckett both of Marion, Ohio; Debbie Stone of Gibraltar, Michigan; Bonita (Jim) Applegate of Tollesboro, Ky.; Carolyn Sue (Dave) Scott Seaman, Ohio.
7 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive who will mourn his passing.
