Kenneth Ray Richey Sr., 84, of Boise, Idaho went to sing and dance with his Heavenly Father, Saturday, February 1, 2020 after a happy, very full life. The family feels peace knowing Ken is enjoying his reunion in heaven with family and friends who are jubilant to be reunited with him.   
 
Ken was always known for his sweet, kind and gentle nature, sharing a smile and a contagious laugh with everyone he met. A handsome man, he rocked it when he wore a cowboy hat and boots. The loss of Ken has left an enormous void in the lives of those who loved him, and he will be greatly missed by many who were honored to know family thanks everyone for the outpouring of love and pray God watch over his sweetheart wife Rhea during this difficult time.

 
Ken’s employment included Chandler Lumber, many years at Meadow Gold Dairy, owning the A&W Drive in on Main Street in Meridian, working at Don Riley Furniture, selling janitorial supplies at Packer Scott, owning Superior Coatings of Idaho, retiring as a driver for Fed Ex/Viking then driving for the National Interagency Fire Center after retirement. He is more recently remembered for his times working craft shows shooting marshmallows at people and selling his wood shelves, boot jacks and board games. 
 
Ken married his sweetheart Rhea Velasquez on July 10, 2010 and enjoyed making memories with each others families, sharing new adventures, traveling and sharing their faith. Ken loved dancing, singing and playing Bingo with Rhea at the Eagles Lodge, where he volunteered in the kitchen for many years.  He and Rhea enjoyed their friends at the Willowbrook Community they lived in, enjoying their weekly functions. Ken and Rhea loved traveling with the RV group The Rollin’ Eagles as he loved any time spent in the great outdoors.  Ken was a member of the Meridian JC’s for many years an enjoyed helping  throughout the community.
 
Ken was honored to receive a Lifetime Achievement Award with the Boise Snowmobile Club as he enjoyed many years playing in the snow whether it be skiing, ice fishing or enjoying a snowmobile fun run.  Ken was one of the original members of Father Dodsen’s Pinochle Club and loved playing Cribbage.
 
Ken was very close to his kids, family and siblings and he cherished the biennial reunions laughing and loving each other, where he was always one of everyones favorite people.
 
Ken is survived by his wife Rhea, children Wayne Richey, Kenny Richey Jr. (Karen) and Tricia Stoesser.  Grandchildren who loved him dearly: Tarek Richey, Nicole Barker (Jesse), Levi Corbin, Ashley Richey, Jennifer Richey, Erica Stoesser and Adam Stoesser.  He was blessed to enjoy many times with his great grandson Macaiden. Ken was also loved by Rhea’s children Chris (Anga), Jay, David (Shirley) Velasquez, Lisa (Joe) Heilker and sister Vera Miller. Ken was preceded in death by his parents, and his seven siblings. Previous marriages were to Kathy Winchell and Shirley Friel.
