Kenneth Robert Kurz, age 61, of Rudolph, Wisconsin, passed away on Monday, February 14, 2022, at his home. 

Ken was born April 25, 1960, in Stevens Point, WI to Henry and Betty (Zimmerman) Kurz.  He married Deb Pongratz on June 11, 1983 at St. James Catholic Church in Vesper. 

He was employed in maintenance at Dairy State Cheese in Rudolph.  Ken was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed Musky fishing on Whitefish Lake and spending time at Squares Resort; hunting with his family and friends; camping; and snowmobiling with the Vesper Snowdrifters Club.   He was very active in the Boy Scouts of America – Samoset Council and served at Camp Tesomas. He was the leadership committee chairman and assistant scout master for Troop 114 in Rudolph. 

Ken loved to take his grand dog Cooper on truck rides, working on projects in the garage. He was always willing to help a friend, family, or neighbor in need.  He also enjoyed the annual 4th of July party up north, and would take one yearly lap around the lake on water ski’s. Many great memories were made.  

Above all, he loved spending time with family and friends.

Ken is survived by his wife, Deb; children: Scot (Abby) Kurz, Ryan (Ashley) Kurz, Brittany (Jonathon) McDonnell; grandchildren: Wyatt Kurz, Madelyn Kurz, Corbin Kurz, Nash Kurz, Landon McDonnell, and Declan McDonnell; siblings: Miriam (Bob) Lueck, Sue Babcock, Bill (Lisa) Kurz, Sandy (Steve) Ohr, Deb (Jim) Ashbeck; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother James Kurz.
