Kenneth L. Kingsborough, 87, formerly of Castalia, now a recent resident of the Commons of Providence, died February 2, 2015, in Stein Hospice following a lengthy illness.
Kenneth, the son of Raymond and Magdalena (Guiss) Kingsborough was born in Fremont on June 10, 1927.
On January 5, 1946, Kenneth married Rose Mary Mapus. They shared their lives for 62 years until her death in April of 2008.
He served in the Army during WWII; was a member of the American Legion Post 83 and UAW Local 1216.
During his life he was employed by many companies, sometimes holding multiple positions at the same time. Kenneth retired from the Ford Motor company in Sandusky after 27 years of service.
He is survived by his daughters, Diana (John) Strouse of Castalia; Karen (William) Wiedle of Fremont; daughter-in-law Christine Kingsborough of Castalia and a son Thomas (Peggy) Kingsborough of Castalia; ten grandchildren; John K. Strouse, Kathleen Renwand, Rebecca Lawson, David Wiedle, Janet Pickard, Melissa Wiedle, Jodi Rucker, Brian Kingsborough, Kevin Kingsborough and Tracy Carrozzino; 26 great grandchildren and one great,great grandchild.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his son, Joseph in 2009 along with four siblings; Evelyn, Russell,and Dan Kingsborough and Shirley Young.
