Kenneth L. Halbur “Ken”, age 78, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Marshfield Medical Center.
Kenneth was born on September 22, 1943, to Alvin and Geraldine (Davis) Halbur in Racine, WI. Ken graduated High School from a Vocational School. He proudly enlisted in the United States Army and served his country from September 21, 1965 until September 20, 1970.
Ken was big on getting his family together at his house for all the family events. He enjoyed sitting out on his deck and having a cold beverage. Ken also liked to try his luck at the local bars, playing shake of the day and signing in every week. Ken was an avid Wisconsin sports fan and enjoyed watching the Packers, Brewers and especially the Badgers.
Ken is survived by his children: Todd Halbur, Tina (Steven) Halbur-Lawson, Marisa Lund, Eric Halbur, Kate (Steven) McAllister, and Emily (Josh) Radtke; grandchildren: Valerie, Craig, Kelly, Savannah, Stevie, Josh, Isabella, Owen, Nolan, Jace, Nora and Camilla; great-grandchild Emmet; siblings: Bill (Dorothy) Halbur, Pat Schade, and Joan Valenti; brother-in-law Bob Schudy.
Ken is preceded in death by his loving wife, parents, brothers: Ronnie (Cathy) Halbur, Fritz (Beverly) Halbur; brothers-in law: Link Haferman, and Bob Schade and sister Donna Schudy.
The family would like to thank the staff at Marshfield Clinic for their care through the years. Ken’s family would like to express a special thank you to thank Pastor Tim Wenger for his monthly visits.
