Kenneth Lee Greening, 77, of Oglesby, passed away February 22, 2015 at Illinois Valley Community Hospital.
Mr. Greening was born August 9, 1937 in Peru to Roy and Mildred (Friebel) Greening. He married Carol Lou Kozikowski on June 18, 1960 at Holy Family Church in Oglesby. She passed away on June 9, 2000. He served in the United States Navy from August 1955 to July 1958 on the USS Hollister. He worked at American Hoechst until retirement and then worked as a laborer at Lone Star where he also retired. He was a member of Oglesby Elks, LaSalle VFW, Oak Ridge Country Club, past member of South Bluff Country Club and Deer Park Country Club. He was also a member of the Red Coats at IVCH for over 10 years.
He is survived by his son Roy, of Oglesby, 2 brothers, Ron Greening of Oglesby and James (Mary) Greening of Overland Park, KS, many nieces and nephews, and Mother-In-Law, Louise Kozikowski of Oglesby. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Carol, a daughter Karen Greening, a brother Alan Greening and a sister Susan Greening.
