Kenneth L. Farrar, Sr., of Blossvale, passed away peacefully at home on January 28, 2014, surrounded by his loving family.

Ken was born in Rome on September 8, 1935 to Jacob and Anna Cullings Farrar. He was educated in the Rome Schools. He was married to the late Beverly Cadrette, until her passing in October of 1978. Ken worked as a therapy aide at the Marcy Psychiatric Center for over 30 years, retiring in 1991.

Ken loved to hunt, fish, and ride motorcycles. He had a great sense of humor knack for making people laugh. His pride and joy in life was his family and the time spent with them. Ken was also a member of the Baron Steuben Masonic Lodge #264.

Ken is survived by five daughters and three sons in law, Sandy and James Burch of Lee Center, Terrie Rondinelli and Jeff Bryson of Rome, Robin and Lance Duell of Blossvale, Mandi and William Deyo of Rome, and Amy Fontane of Camden; two sons, David Russell of Florida, and Thomas Farrar of Rome; many grandchildren and great, grandchildren; three sisters, Barbara Bole of Rome, Linda Kay King of Mississippi, and June Bush of Rome; a brother and sister in law, George and Linda Farrar of Mississippi; a special brother in law, Chuckie Cadrette; and his former wife, Kathleen Kenealy. He was predeceased by a daughter, Denise Mills; a son, Kenny Lee Jr.; a granddaughter, Amber Heath; a grandson, James “Bubba” Burch; and a sister, Pauline Trodnica.
