Kenneth J. Duwelius, 91, of Mishawaka, passed away at 4:20 a.m. Friday, Sept. 13, 2013, of natural causes at Michiana Health and Rehabilitation in Mishawaka. Feb. 14, 1922 – Sept. 13, 2013
Kenneth was born Feb. 14, 1922, in Elkhart, to the late John and Mabel (Ness) Duwelius. He married Gizella Valentine Sturm on April 3, 1948, in Elkhart. Gizella passed Sept. 12, 2012.
Surviving are a daughter, Debra Duwelius of Mishawaka; a sister, Dorothy Duwelius of Adrian, Mich.; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Preceding Kenneth in death were a daughter, Jacquelyn Knight, and his twin sisters Ilene and Arlene. Kenneth formerly worked for Adams and Westlake and proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
