Kenneth Henry Furr, 85, of Albemarle, passed away Thursday, October 28, 2021 at Woodhaven Court in Albemarle.

Ken was born March 3, 1936 in Stanly County to the late John Henry Furr and the late Bertha Eudy Furr. He was also preceded in death by wife of almost 39 years, Elaine Almond Furr.

Ken’s favorite saying was “He was a jack of all trades, and master of none”.  He started his career at WBTV in Charlotte, worked at SNAP for several years, and owner of Smith’s Jewelers, and Ken’s Clock Repair “the clock doctor”.  He loved and went to Taco Bell everyday for lunch and he was made an honorary member on his 80th birthday. He loved and respected all of the staff at Woodhaven Court and the family would like to extend their sincere thanks and appreciation for all the love and care they have shown to Ken and his family.

Survivors include daughter, Pamela (Todd) Hatley of Norwood, NC; son, Darrell (Amanda) Furr of Richfield, NC; grandchildren, Tyler, Whitney, Kayce, Alex, Andrea, Brittany, and Brooke; eight great-grandchildren; and sister, Kay (Hal) Harwood.
