Kenneth Eugene Huish passed away at the age of 64. Kenneth was born in Douglas Arizona, the oldest of 4 children to Gerald Eugene & Ida Ruth Jespersen. He loved Douglas and reflected often, stories of his family and friends from his youth. Kenny, or Ken was a 1966 graduate of Douglas High School, after a time at Cochise College he choose to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He served in the West Mexico Mission, he loved serving the people of Mexico. After his mission he transferred to Arizona State University, and pursued a career in Secondary Education. While at Arizona State, he reconnected and married Diane East Huish on June 1, 1973. After he finished college, he and Diane Moved To Kearny, AZ where Ken taught Spanish and American History. Along with teaching he coached various sports at the high school, and also umpired baseball for many years. Ken and Diane were blessed in 1978, with their only child, Aaron. Ken worked and served the people of the Copper Basin for almost 25 years. He served as Mayor, Vice-Mayor, and on the town council in Kearny. Ken served in two Bishoprics In The LDS Ward In Kearny, and in the high council in the Globe, AZ LDS Stake. He loved his days as a teacher and the many students that he interacted with, many will remember his passion at the microphone as the “Voice of the Bearcats.” Ken loved Ray High School and Kearny, but in 2001 he accepted the Athletic Director at Snowflake High School, and retired from that position in 2006. In 2005 he married Denise Scorse. When Ken met Denise this helped him fulfill one of his other lifelong dreams, radio. He and Denise had many days and evenings enjoying time together at the Radio station. Ken will be missed by family and friends from all over Arizona. Ken was preceded in death by his spouse Diane, and by his father Gerald.
Ken is survived by his wife Denise of Snowflake, His son Aaron (Jody) Of Snowflake. His Mother Ruth of Douglas, his Sister Jeninne Wright (Doug) of Douglas, Bother Mike (Patti) of Mesa, and brother Donnie (Sherry) of Douglas. Also survived by his grandchildren Ellie, and Kamry, and many nieces and nephews.
