Kenneth “Ken” Collyear Jr., 49, of Franklin, Indiana, passed away on March 24, 2020 in Franklin.
Ken was born August 26, 1970 to Kenneth Eugene Collyear, Sr and Linda Lee(Luke) Collyear. On June 30, 1989 in San Diego, California he married his childhood friend Dorothea (Sauer) Collyear.
Ken received his Associate’s Degree from the IBEW and went on to become a Master Electrician with IBEW Local 481. He was the owner and operator of Alpha and Omega Electric for three years.
Ken was a veteran of the US Navy who bravely served our country during Desert Storm.
Ken was a man of strong Christian faith who loved the simple things in life. He enjoyed reading his Bible, spending time with his grandchildren and family. As a family they enjoyed cookouts and taking trips to the mountains of Tennessee.
He is survived by his spouse Dorothea Collyear; three sons, Kenneth Eugene Collyear III, Alexander Matthew Collyear and Ethan Brody Collyear; three grandchildren, Chloe Jade Ferguson, Ryland Alexander Collyear, and Daphany Ray Newton Collyear; his parents, Kenneth Eugene Sr. and Linda Lee Collyear; and three siblings, Terri Carson-Johnson, Brian Collyear (Sarah), and Jason Collyear.
