Kenneth Edward Kesling, son of Eddie Darling and Lucille Ann Kesling, passed away on April 9, 2021. Ken was born on January 1, 1943 in Omaha, Nebraska. He was a graduate of Benson High School in Omaha. He furthered his education at Sisters of Mercy School of Nursing in Des Moines, Iowa, where he received his degree as a Registered Nurse, then St. Francis in Wichita, Kansas, where he received his Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist certification. Ken moved to Idaho in 1970 and practiced as a CRNA until 1983, when he transitioned into ER nursing. He was considered by many who knew him to be very skilled in his field of practice.
Ken loved fly fishing, bird hunting, wood working, sailing, and bird dogs, particularly golden retrievers and yellow labs. He also had an affection for steak, Pepsi, Doritos, inappropriate jokes and cigarettes.
He is survived by son Scott Kesling, daughter-in-law Kelly Kesling, grandchildren Tanner and Abby Kesling; son Dr. Jeff Kesling, granddaughter Isabel Kesling; son Dirk Kesling, daughter-in-law Denise Kesling, and grandsons Colton and Hayden Kesling.
He is survived by his only brother, Bill Kesling, sister-in-law, Chris Kesling, and their 3 children and 8 grandchildren.
