Kenneth E. DeLong, 81, of Anderson, passed away on June 23, 2013 at the Countryside Manor Health Care.

He was born on May 10, 1932 in Traders Point, Indiana. Kenneth graduated from Anderson High School in 1950. He served his country in the US Army as a cook and military police during the Korean War. He retired from St. John’s, worked at Linders and Delco Remy as a cook. He was a member of Cross Roads United Methodist Church, Masons and Methodist Men.

Kenneth is survived by his children, Debbie Jeff Wellons, Darla Lauri Fisher Howearth, siblings, Katherine Gene Hamm, Charles David Kay DeLong, Norma Murdock, Betty Edwards, Frank Jr. Kathy DeLong, grandchildren, Rachael Grant Rutledge, Heather Howearth and Hope Howearth, great-grandchildren, Connor Rowell, Chandler Richardson and Cameron Rutledge and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by wife, Janice “Nadine” Westerfield DeLong, parents, Cassie Lavon Miller and Frank DeLong, siblings, Charles Edward DeLong and Annie Daily.
