ELLSWORTH – Kenneth Douglas Ellsworth, 71, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at his home surrounded by family after a short, but courageous battle with Brain Cancer. Ken was born in Amityville NY, to Elmer and Ruth (Borman) Ellsworth. He was the loving husband of Kim Bartlett Ellsworth for 30 wonderful years next April, and adoring father to his two children, Katie Ellsworth and Ian Ellsworth. In addition he leaves behind his sister, Kerry White and her husband Robert and their two children, a cousin Helmar Olson, and a very large circle of devoted family friends.
Ken was a talented and well respected Manufacturing Engineer in the aerospace industry for over 45 years. A perfectionist and skilled craftsman in all things from mechanics to carpentry, he was considered a wealth of knowledge to anyone needing to “get something done.” He enjoyed saltwater fishing and loved being near or on the water, especially the Long Island Sound and CT shoreline. Kens “recent” retirement was filled with weekly pizza outings with his wife, and multiple excursions up and down the east coast in search of salty air.
A celebration of Ken’s beautiful life will be at the convenience of the family.
