Ken Taylor of Burlington City died Monday April 11, 2016 at Lourdes Medical Center of Burlington County in Willingboro at the age of 84. Born and raised in Lumberton, Mr. Taylor was a longtime Burlington resident. He was a veteran of the Korean War, honorably serving on the Marine Corps. He worked for over 25 years as a truck driver at Hoegannes Corp. After retiring, he worked for the City of Burlington Water Dept. Ken was a lifelong athlete beginning as a boxer and wrestler in his youth. He also received training in karate, was a marathon runner and a competitive power lifter.

He also trained dozens of people in his home gym. In his spare time, Ken was an avid reader and history buff, particularly the civil war. He also enjoyed spending time at the beach. Although he enjoyed all of these activities, his greatest love was spending time with family and friends, particularly family pizza nights and activities with his grandchildren.

Ken is survived by his wife Marge (nee Ryan), his children; Tina Taylor, Kenny (Kathy) Taylor, Martin Taylor, Terry (Patrick) Yurko, John (Louise) Taylor, Maria (Bill) Murphy and Rosalee (Robert) Schoomover, his grandchildren; Naomi, Patrick, Nick, Vanessa, Olivia, John, Riannon, Grace, Brielle, Lucas, Evan, Taylor and Blake and his great-grandson Jack. He is also survived by his brother in law Lee Ryan and cousins Dolores Wilkinson and Mary Lou Morgan. Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation and funeral mass.
