Ken Gerard Fischer, 44 of Centralia passed away Thursday, August 01, 2013. Ken was born March 6, 1969, in Centralia, the son of Dr. Charles K. Fischer and Frances (Isabelle) Hollenkamp. He married Rona Schneider on March 14, 1993, in Las Vegas and she survives in Centralia.
In addition to his father, Dr. Charles K. Fischer, and wife Kandy of Centralia and wife he is survived by a son, Zachary Fischer of Centralia; three brothers: Neil Fischer of Centralia, Jeff Fischer and wife Stacy of Centralia, and Jason Fischer and wife Krista of Centralia; a sister: Dr. Heather Beal and husband Ryan of Rochester, Illinois; a niece, Erica Trone of Centralia and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Frances Hollenkamp, and a brother, Eric Fischer.
Ken was a Union Carpenter. He served in the U.S. Navy during Desert Storm. He was a member of the Beckemery American Legion Post 1227, VFW Post 2055, Central City Lions Club and he attended Trinity Lutheran Church in Centralia. Also, he enjoyed bailing hay and driving his tractor and horses. Most of all he loved sitting on the back porch with his dogs, Toby and Lulu, and spending time with family and friends.
