Keith D. Carlisle Sr. age 82, of Salem, died at 10:09 p.m. Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at the Blossom Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Salem. He was born September 16, 1933 in Salem, Ohio, the son of the late William D. and Birdie M. (Grove) Carlisle Sr.
He worked for the City of Salem as a Dispatcher and Meter Man for 11 years. Keith retired as a Staff Sergeant from the Marine Corp in 1970 after 20 years of service, and served in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He was a member of the Quaker Lodge Fraternal Order of Police and Salem Police Auxiliary.
Survivors include four sons, Stephen K. Carlisle of Salem, Dwane A. Carlisle of Strongsville, Keith D. Carlisle Jr. of Strongsville, and Kenneth P. Carlisle of Strongsville; a daughter, Julie L. Houchines of Salem; a brother, Kenneth L. Carlisle of Salem; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by an infant son; a brother, William Carlisle Jr.; two sisters, Sharlene G. Henderson, and Paula M. Leyman; and a half brother, Vincent Miller.
