Keith Oliver “Huck” Christensen, age 85, of Monroe, WI passed away on Sunday, July 29, 2018. Born in Brodhead, WI to Arthur and Mildred (Bliss) Christensen on October 4, 1932, Keith graduated from Brodhead High School in 1950.
Keith married Louise (Anderegg) Lueck on April 29, 1964, in Chicago. He is survived by his wife Louise, and five children; Kathy (Daryl) Schindler, Baraboo, WI, Kurtis (Donna) Lueck, Miami, FL, Kristy (Richard) DeNisi, Flower Mound, TX; Kara (Matt Engelkens) Christensen, Orangeville, IL; Kelli (David) Balsman, Belvidere, Il; one sister Phyllis Di Lucci, Cortland, New York; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents, a brother, Jerry Christensen, two sons; Kevin Lueck and Kip Christensen, and a great-grandson, Mason Balsman.
He was an avid sports fan and never missed a Cubs, Packer, or Badger game. Keith and his wife were the original owners of The Huckleberry Inn in Orangeville, Il. He was a semi-driver for 32 years, retiring in 1997. He continued to drive part-time for Monroe Truck Equipment for several years following his retirement.
Keith was extremely proud of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. His family will miss his quick wit, funny stories, and his uncanny ability to fill a room with laughter. A celebration of Keith’s life will be held at a later date.
