Kaye M. Widger, 67, passed away unexpectedly August 15, 2014 in Pueblo West, CO. The daughter of Paul and Thelma Widger was born March 11, 1947 in Lockport, NY. Kaye was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving from 1968 to 1988, as a nurse. After her discharge, she continued her nursing career at St. Thomas More Hospital until her retirement in 2009. She was always interested in helping people. She joined the Habitat for Humanity Restore team. She also served as a representative of the Board for Habitat for Humanity of Fremont County, all the while being involved in the Gray Wolves camping club, and the Falcon Wanderers Volkesmarch Club. She was a joy to all and will be missed deeply. Ms. Widger is survived by her mother, Thelma of Canon City, CO; and brother, Keith Widger and sister-in-law, Sharon Widger of Penrose, CO. She is also survived by her niece, Anna Unick; grandnieces, Corina and Samantha; and grandnephew, Matthew Unick. She was preceded in death by her father earlier this year.
