Kathy Jo (Dorning) Evans,70, of Madison, AL, passed away on October 4, 2022 in Harvest, Alabama surrounded by her family. Kathy was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was born in Huntsville, Alabama to Mary Katherine Crutcher and James Russell Dorning on March 9, 1952. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and a Master’s degree in Counseling which she used to serve the state of Alabama as an Area Manager for the Governor’s Office of Workforce Development.
Kathy enjoyed spending time with her family and sharing her love of gardening, reading and hanging out on the beach. Kathy will be lovingly remembered by her children, Brian Evans and Salina Ruffing; granddaughters, Heather Evans and Cara Ruffing; and siblings, Bonnie O’Neal, Retha Dorning, and Terry Dorning.
