Kathryn R. Furney, 95, of Muncie, passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at her
residence with her loving family at her bedside. She was born September 15, 1915 in
Muncie to Lowell Leonard and Verna (Deacon) Reid. Kathryn attended Muncie Community Schools. She was a homemaker.
Cakes for family and friends. Kathryn made her children and grandchildren ‘s wedding
Cakes. She finally retired from decorating in 1988.
Survivors include one daughter, Sharon Wheeler, (husband-Homer); six grandchildren, Cathy Frey, (husband-Rick), Tim Furney, (wife-Jacqueline), Tamara Furney, Cheryl Furney, and Keith Wheeler, (wife-Connie); six great-grandchildren, Megan, Jared, Monica, Dustin, Skylar, and Shayna; and four great-great grandchildren, Jayden, Jordan, J.J., and Landyn.
Kathryn was preceded in death by her loving husband whom she married on July 16, 1934, Roy Furney; a son, Marvin Furney; one brother; one sister; and a grandson, Kevin Bickel.
