Kathryn Marie Kilian, age 85, died Sunday February 3, 2013 at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice Center in Wilmington, NC. Mrs. Kilian was born in Burlington and was a longtime resident until moving to North Carolina in the early 1980’s. While in Burlington, she worked as a bank teller and manager for the Burlington Bank and Trust Co. She enjoyed her retirement in North Carolina and particularly enjoyed bowling and golf.
She was one of ten children born to the late Noel A. Sampson and Katharine (nee Engle) Sampson. Wife of the late Henry G. Kilian, she was also predeceased by her son Kenneth A. Kilian. Kathryn is survived by her daughters Janet L. Kilian and Robyn (Stan) Galperin, her grandson Jeffery Quinn, her great granddaughters Riley and Lauren Quinn.
She also leaves her special pet companion Dixie.
