Kathryn Linda Smith (Knowles) passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and love on Friday January 21, 2022. Often referred to as the baby whisperer, Kathy was the person her family and friends turned to for support, love and guidance. She offered compassionate honesty, acceptance and grace to everyone who knew her. She has joined her parents, Freeman Knowles and Marjorie Knowles (Johnson,) her sister Marjorie Knowles, her sister-in-law Gilda Knowles, her brothers-in-law Edward Smith and Russell Smith and every pet she adored throughout her life. She is deeply mourned by her husband Arthur Smith, her son Steven Smith and his fiancée Renee Wozniak, her daughters Christine Smith, Sarah Keller (Smith) and her husband, Craig, Christine Chapman (Oh,) her grandchildren Celia and Henry Chapman, her siblings Bruce Knowles and his family, Freeman (Buddy) Knowles and his family, Brian Knowles and his family, Barbara Susko (Knowles) and her family, Dorothy Smith and her family and the nieces and nephews who were Marjorie’s family. Kathy believed that family was made in the heart and held Gena Belcher and Jennifer Cotter in her heart and considered them her own.
