Mrs. Kathryn (Kohr) Flaherty, 87, of Cherry, died Thursday, April 1, 2010 at St. Margarets Hospital in Spring Valley.
Mrs. Flaherty was born February 26, 1923 in Cedar Rapids, IA to John and Sarah (Taggart) Kohr. She married Edmund Flaherty on November 6, 1943 at Holy Trinity Church in Cherry. He died January 13, 2008. She was a member of Holy Trinity Church, Cherry, the Alter and Rosary society, a volunteer at the Lighted Way and a homemaker.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Sara Mudge of rural LaSalle and Susan Flaherty of Princeton; 2 grandchildren, Michelle (Jerry) Vogel and Kenneth (Gina) Mudge; 6 great-grandchildren, Kayla, Kelsey, Madeline, Brady, Ariella, and Kenneth James; 3 brothers, John (Wanda) Kohr of Napa, CA, Patrick (Louise) Kohr of rural Princeton, William (Joyce) Kohr of Cherry; a sister, Ellen Meyer of Roscoe, IL.
She is preceded in death by her husband Edmund and 1 sister Mary Schell.
