Anderson – Kathryn E. McCreery Leathers, 88, Anderson, went to meet our Lord February 2, 2005 at Millers Merry Manor-Chesterfield after extended illness.
She was born April 3, 1916 in Eden, Indiana, and was resident of this area for most of her life. She was a homemaker. She was a graduate of Anderson Beauty School. She was a member of Bethany Christian Church. She was a volunteer at the Community Hospital Gift Shop.
She was very health conscious and loved walking at Shadyside Park, swimming and exercising. She was a very caring, loving mother to four children, Gloria & husband Dennis Tittle, Monte J. & wife Sue Baker, Sherry & husband Wayne Van Hook and Ronald Orbaugh; grandchildren, Mike Baker, Dennie Tittle, Denise Myers, Teresa Cummins, Kim Shabowski, Lisa Van Hook, Chris Baker, Allen Van Hook, Jeff baker, Mindy Van Hook, Kevin Baker and Megan White; seventeen great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and special friends, Dan Orbaugh and Greta Kilgore.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Miller’s Merry Manor for their loving care during the time she was there. Also, a special appreciation to her roommate, Midge Flannagan for watching over her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Grant E. & Hazel Marie Jarrett McCreery and a great-granddaughter, Christy Shabowski.
