Kathryn Brown Barnett, 82, of Troutman, passed away Thursday, February 14, 2013 at Gordon Hospice House.
She was born on Sept. 6, 1930 in Iredell County to the late Raymond Brooks Brown and Mae Freeze Brown. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert William Barnett; a son, Danny Lynn Barnett; and a brother, Leroy Furr.
Kathryn had a love and fascination with lighthouses and enjoyed eating out at her favorite restaurant, Red Lobster.
She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Cooper of Troutman and Shirley Snow of Virginia; grandchildren, Joely Snow (Michael) Taylor of Australia, Kelly Snow Lemmer of Virginia, Brooks (Christie) Barnett of Virginia, Stacy Barnett (Chad) Shull of Granite Falls, and Cecelia and Nicholas Cooper, both of Florida; and great grandchildren, Chloe Taylor, Tyler and Andrew Lemmer, Laney, Will, Mason, Easton, Crystal, Tanner and Matthew Barnett and Ryan Cooper.
