Kathryn A. (Stenzel) Dose, 83, of Lostant, passed away April 19, 2015 at Heritage Healthcare Center in Streator.
Mrs. Dose was born May 28, 1931 in Wenona to Paul and Anna (Miller) Stenzel. She married Albert K. Dose on August 19, 1950 at St. Mary’s Church in Wenona. He passed away on May 18, 2011. She worked as a nurses aid from 1974 to 1992 in various nursing homes and hospitals. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Peru. She is survived by five daughters, Virginia (Dave) Black of Streator, Diane (Richard) Strack of Tonica, Barbara Dose (Charles Diss) of Streator, Marjorie (Darryl) Riemenschneider of Monticello, MN and Anna Marie Thorp of Streator; three sons, Paul Dose of Lamar, CO, Thomas (Vicky) Dose of North Glen, CO and Robert G. Dose of rural Lostant; 19 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; one sister, Elaine (James) Krischel of Wenona; three sisters-in-law, Marcia Thompson, Emily Yusko and Carol Stenzel; three brothers-in-law, Joseph McNally, Ray Krischel and Stanley Konwinski and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert; a daughter-in-law, Karen Dose; three sisters, Anna Mae Stenzel in infancy, Mary Ann Konwinski and Dolores Krischel; two brothers, Charles Stenzel and Rev. Duane Stenzel, OFM; one sister-in-law, Bernadine McNally and three brothers-in-law, Cecil Thompson, Gerald Yusko and George Dose. Pallbearers will be Dave and John Thorp, Justin Riss, Rick and Andy Dose, Dave Stenzel, Austin Black and Rick Isham.
