Kathleen Rose Hewitt Rogers, 69, of Jonesboro, GA passed away Monday, December 17, 2018 at Piedmont Fayette Hospital surrounded by family. She was born on US Naval Station, Panama on August 13, 1949 to the late Lewis “Red” Hewitt and Rose St. Hilaire Hewitt. Kathy was raised in Lewiston/Auburn, Maine until her family moved to St. Mary’s County, Maryland in 1963. She graduated from Great Mills High School.
Kathy is survived by her loving husband, Joseph A. Rogers, Jr; son, Joseph A. Rogers, III and his wife Jennifer of Hampton, GA; grandchildren, Lauren Rogers, Joseph A. Rogers, IV, and Ashleigh Rogers; siblings, Charles Hewitt (Kate), Lorraine Carol Ann Dooley, Michael Hewitt (Elaine), Alan Hewitt (Yamile), Adelle Pierce (Michael) and Dot Hewitt. She also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Along with her parents Kathy is preceded in death by her daughter Rebecca Rose Rogers and brother Thomas Hewitt.
