Kathleen Marie ” Kathy” (Jackson) Sergent, 51, passed away Friday August 15, 2014 in Indianapolis. She was a resident of Indianapolis. Kathy was born on April 27, 1963 in Indianapolis.
She received a Licensed Practical Nurse degree from Ivy Tech. College in Sellersburg in 1987. She worked in the nursing field for 26 years, where she did private duty home care and cared for Alzheimers patients. She enjoyed taking road trips, crocheting and her favorite color was blue. She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Survivors include, her fiancé of 16 years, Dennis Lair of Indianapolis, mother, Donna (Don) Sichting Roseman of Indianapolis, four daughters, Tracey Williams, Stacey Graves, April (Jorge) Perez and Regina (Freddie Ducking) Sergent all of Indianapolis, two stepchildren, Jessie (Steven) Dishman of Indianapolis and Amy (Shawn) Lair-Lessor of Greenwood, two sisters, Jenise (Jeff) Sanders of Indianapolis and Jennifer Weber of Franklin, four brothers, Shawn (Karen) Jackson of Indianapolis, Jeremy Jackson and Jason Jackson both of North Vernon and Nick (Jennifer) Byrley Greenwood,12 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was married to L.J. Sergent of Sullivan for 11 years.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Betty and Jack Workman.
