Kathleen Marie (Gasser) Conness, 82, of Buffalo, MO, formerly of Ottawa, passed away Sunday, August 20, 2017 at home.
Mrs. Conness was born February 3, 1935 in Chicago to Richard and Mary (Burley) Gasser. She was a graduate of Marquette High School in Ottawa. She was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Women’s Army Corps at Ft. Lee in Virginia for three years.
She later married Edmund J. Conness in 1989 in Wisconsin. Mrs. Conness was a homemaker and also worked at Borg-Warner Corporation in Ottawa. She was a member of St. Columba Church in Ottawa. She loved travel, cooking, baking, music and spending time with her grandchildren and pets.
Survivors include five children, Barbara Anne Colson of Lafayette, IN, John L. (Deborah) Krueger of North Carolina, Chris Krueger of Ottawa, Alison Krueger-Bruck of Ashby, MN and Valerie (Terry) Gustin of Buffalo, MO; 15 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Poundstone; her father, Richard Gasser; her husband, Edmund on January 27, 1991 and her brother, Danny Gasser.
