Kathleen “Kathy” Paula Gilligan, 59 of Norwalk passed away peacefully at Norwalk Hospital Thursday August 11, 2011 after a heroic battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family and friends.
Kathy will be dearly missed by her loving son, Petty Officer First Class, USN (Ret) Anthony Lotierzo III, his wife Kathryn, their children Madison, Meghan, Lillian, and Sophia of Springfield, VA. her adoring sister Mary Jane Bumbolow and brother in law Thomas Bumbolow of Norwalk, CT, her niece Tracy Bumbolow of Norwalk, her nephew Thomas Bumbolow and his daughter Tasia of Larchmont, NY, her sister, Tomi Ann Northrop and brothers John and Paul Vento and James Gilligan, her loving lifelong friend Yvonne Davis of Milford as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and all of her loving friends in California.
Kathy was predeceased by her mother Jane Magner Vento, her step mother Ann Gilligan, and her brother, Robert Gilligan.
She worked in the medical field at Maternal Fetal Care in Stamford as an Administrative Assistant and considered her co-workers to be her extended family. Kathy was an avid gardener and had a very successful green thumb. She loved her time with family and friends and relished her granddaughters and grand niece.
