Kathleen Joy Hillin (nee Kohl) died peacefully at home on February 29, 2020 in Boise, Idaho at the age of 71 from Parkinson Disease.

Kathy is survived by her husband Harry Clay Hillin, daughter Angela Matlin of Rancho Mission Viejo, CA; sons AJ (Arthur James) Iarussi of Westerville, OH; Mark Hillin of Moro, IL; Karl Francisco of Mountain Home, ID and brother James Arthur Kohl III of Gainsville, FL. 20 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her sister Karen Kohl of Columbus, OH; father, James Arthur Kohl II of Reynoldsburg, OH and mother Darleen Joy Kohl of Gainsville, FL.

Kathleen was born on November 25, 1948 in Ravenna, OH to James and Darlene Kohl. She graduated from Coco Beach High School in 1967. She married Clay Hillin in 1980. Kathy’s job experiences included lifeguard, swim instructor, and secretarial but mostly a stay at home Mom. Although diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2005, she was a bright light of determination and courage coping with the disease and not being defined by it.
